ASUS TUF Dash F15

ASUS TUF Dash F15

ASUS new TUF DASH F15 is a solid laptop with solid configurations. Straight out of the box, I was impressed with the Mecha-inspired lid and the Off Black shade. The chassis is smaller compared to previous iterations and yet meets MIL-STD standards for heavy duty work in all environments. The display is ultra clear with a 165Hz QHD panel and 100% DCI-P3 coverage for stunning colours. Connectivity maxes out with Thunderbolt 4, Wifi 6 and 2x PCIe 4.0 slots. 100W Type-C charging is a blessing providing me 80% charge in about 1.2 hrs. Battery life is good at about 7 hrs for me on max usage. I enjoyed the audio with Dolby Atmos kicking up great surround and found Hi Res audio a blessing. I do wish the camera was a 1080p one as 720p was just about sufficient for Zoom and Teams. All in all a solid device for gaming and heavy usage.

Belkin Soundform Rise

Belkin Soundform Rise

I’m a big fan of Belkin products (several power surge protectors and power strips used around the house). The Soundform Rise is a unique set of TWS available in three colours. I tested out the black pair and here’s my experience. TWS for me, should fit well firstly and these cans fit superbly and stay on. Sound is clear and noise-free for calls which is a big plus for my Zoom sessions and work calls. Music sounds good, especially source material from Apple Music and Spotify with decent bass and more emphasis on mids and clarity. I am impressed with wireless charging and the 6-7 hrs of playtime I got on a charge. The IPX 5 resistance also helps while walking and working out. I do wish they had built-in active noise cancelling, however the fit, comfort and sound quality here more than make up for it.

TECNO 19 Neo Camon

TECNO 19 Neo Camon

Tecno makes some great value smartphones, affordable, feature-filled and hardware+software optimised. Their CAMON 19 Neo has premium design and an excellent set of cameras. Photos are great in both day and night with excellent filters on board. Performance is steady with Mediatek MTK G85 chipset, while the 6.8” FHD+ display is great for media and gaming. I feel the HIOS could do with a few tweaks for better performance and the 18W Flash charge available definitely needs a boost. However, the phone looks great in Ice Mirror and Eco Black and is great value for the price.
